Natalie Gilbert has dedicated most of her career as a musician for dance. For 32 years, Natalie held the position of Music Director for the noted American Dance Festival, the most comprehensive summer dance program featuring classes with and performances by nationally and internationally recognized artists.

Natalie has been active as a professional dance musician for over thirty years, freelancing in New York City, as well as being on the faculty at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, the New World School of the Arts in Miami, and the Centre International de Danse de Paris. Her scores for dances include those performed by the companies of Liz Lerman and the Dance Exchange, Dan Wagoner and Dancers, Ze'eva Cohen, Linda Tarnay, Jessica Fogel, Sally Hess, and Peter Goss. Ms. Gilbert is a founding board member of the International Guild of Musicians in Dance, an organization she has been active in since its inception, including co-chairing one of its national conferences.
